It's funny but I just emailed B&N customer service last week asking when an Android app was coming out and they were clueless: -- from service <[email protected]> to Edward <[email protected]> date Thu, Jul 15, 2010 at 9:01 AM subject Re: Customer Service Mail (KMM26859547V98876L0KM) Dear Customer, Thank you for writing to us about Barnes & Noble eBooks. Unfortunately, at this time, we are unaware when we will be able to offer an eReader application that will be supported on Android devices. Please check our website often as we are continuing to expand our download capabilities to other devices. At this time, the Barnes & Noble eReader supports downloads to your nook, iPad, PC, iPhone, HTC HD2, MAC and Blackberry. Customer feedback is critical to the success of our business, and we rely on suggestions such as yours to help us determine what our customers value most. We have forwarded your suggestion to the individuals responsible for consideration and possible implementation. Once again, thank you for your email. Sincerely, Michelle Customer Service Representative - Digital Support Barnes and Noble -- I just finished downloading the app, logged into my B&N account within the app and it immediately downloaded the eBook (Stephen King's Under the Dome) I bought last week to my phone. The only issue I have found so far is that it doesn't sync bookmarks. I have the app installed on my netbook and had a bookmark in that book but it does not show in the app on my phone. That's one of the defining perks to Amazon's Kindle app is that it is supposed to sync your bookmarks. I hope B&N fixes this. -- Have a Better One, Edward Crosby http://www.edwardcrosby.com ----- "There are no atheists in foxholes or firmware updates."
