Hrmmm. I sense that we must somehow have a college football geek-off to determine the validity of this statement. I'm just not sure how we would measure it. I could throw out a few factoids, such as: * Have attended hundreds of games in person across the Southeast, including at every SEC school plus FSU, Ga Tech, and others... (And am now going to SIU-Carbondale games-- wife's alma mater-- they have a swanky new stadium opening this fall.) * Saw Bo Jackson play in person... * Until last year, had been in attendance at *every* Iron Bowl ever played in Auburn, including the famous "First Time Ever" win... * Have been in the Ga Dome for at least a half-dozen SEC Championship Games... * Attended every game of Auburn's 1994 season, including all road games, and attended all but 2 games of our 1993 undefeated season... * Was the "ComPlainsman" caller to 790 the Zone sports radio in Atlanta for years... But, again, this is just one sort of measuring stick. How else could "college football fan big-ness" be measured? :-) --Van -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "The Unique Geek" group.
