Count me in as one of the 'olds' that went and saw Expendables this weekend.
I have a pretty binary measure of whether a movie was good or not. I just ask: "Was this worth seeing (and paying for) in the theater?" Expendables was a 'Barely'. The action was decent. It was neat to see so many big names in one film. On the other hand you could have built a house out of the acting and dialog it was so wooden. At the end of the day I'm glad I saw it. It was the action equivalent of the original Ocean's 11 and I can say that I was there.
