I'm the polar opposite- I watch the first Saw in the theaters and left angry. It was such an appallingly bad movie. I should have known better; I don't normally go for the slasher-type flicks. Monsters I am genuinely interested in. It appears to be a rare fresh take on giant monsters- a genre that is woefully underrepresented in today's cinema. I didn't see the first Paranormal Activity, so I'll likely sit out the sequel here. I'm interested in the Tempest, if for no other reason that Helen Mirren. The Howling is one of the few movies I think will benefit from a remake- I saw just a few minutes of it a month ago and was surprised at how poorly it aged. I was disappointed in the second Narnia movie, too; hopefully the Dawn Treader can resurrect the series. The one I was originally opposed to but have warmed to the idea of is Let Me In. The source movie Let the Right One In is fantastic, and cultural translation rarely does a story good. After seeing the trailer, I'm cautiously optimistic.
