A question to consider would be if anyone with a prosthetic limb is necessarily a "cyborg." I'm thinking like the doctor from ER who lost his hand in helicopter blades (who is later killed when a helicopter lands on him, which was awesome). Or a character who comes back from a war with a prosthetic leg. Or the recruiter in Starship Troopers. There are many examples, if you look at it like that.
Does there have to be more "robot" than human for the designation, like RoboCop, or does any mechanical addition define one as cyborg? Thoughts? -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Edward Crosby Sent: Saturday, August 28, 2010 10:55 AM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [The Unique Geek] Help with Cyborgs?
