Very interesting.

I have a 120 GB iPod Classic and I love it... though I have to admit I
use it less often now that I have an iPhone. For example, I used to
download podcasts and listen on my iPod, but now I'm just as likely to
listen via the iPhone (since you don't have to plan ahead to have it
on there-- you can go and get it) or listen to something "live" on
iPhone rather than waiting for it to be posted as a podcast.

But yeah, as they point out there, the great draw of the iPod Classic
is that huge memory capacity. Mine has tons of music, movies, TV
shows, books on audio, etc on it, and it's barely half full.

The drawback to the hard drive, though, is that it is much more
fragile than flash memory. I dropped my previous iPod on a hard floor
just one time, and it was shot. The hard drive was ruined.

Conversely, I dropped a flash memory USB key into a mud puddle about
four years ago. I dried it out, and it still works fine today.
