I read that same post this morning and an article on io9.
Being that The Dark Tower series is my all-time favorite book series, I
can't say I am excited about this. I find it difficult to believe that
they can do movies and a TV series and expect to get everything right
about the books. I'm sorry but I believe this series is one of those books
that will never translate well to the small and big screen. Only if it is
expected that a TV series would last more than three seasons could I see
them getting it close to the books. At the bare minimum, it would have to
be a 24 episode season for every book, of which there are seven. And
still, I find it hard to believe they would get it right. Also, I would
hope Stephen King would have every say as to what gets added and what gets
cut in the translation.
