Yeah-- and that's precisely what JMS did with it in his run on THOR,
four or five years ago. The hammer fell from the sky in the pages of
his FF issues, and people lined up for miles to take a turn at trying
to lift it. Don Blake finally showed up, wandering around with a
duffel bag and hoodie like Bruce ("David") Banner from the Hulk TV
show, and cut the line and lifted it.
So it is a neat idea, yeah, but to be fair, it was JMS's, not
Branaugh's or the screenwriter's.
