In 1994, media company Knight Ridder released a video predicting the coming of
the “Tablet Newspaper.” While some of the proto-Internet speak is giggle-worthy
(“information super highways”), the tablet newspaper prototype looks fairly
similar to tablets in use today. Knight Ridder, however, no longer exists–it
was sold in 2006.
