Turned out to be a pretty typical Apatow movie, though. Now I see why
people like it. It wasn't bad.

Ever since we saw it, I've been asking, "If the movie happens mainly
in Chicago and Milwaukee, why is like half the supporting cast
British?"

The first time a supporting cast member turned up with a British
accent, I was like, "Huh-- that's interesting." Then a second one,
and I was slightly confused. Then the third one-- and this one
somewhat implausibly-- and I was in all seriousness starting to think
I'd dozed off while the lead actors flew to their homes in England.

In a way, that kind of reminded me of the strange Eastern European
family that lived next door to Peter Parker in the Spidey movies. In
that instance, I kept waiting for it to *mean* something-- for there
to be a reason beyond just "it's goofy funny"-- and there never was.
But to match Bridesmaids, you'd then need to make, say, Peter's boss
at the pizza place Russian, *and* then make a random policeman (!!)
that he meets be Russian, too.

It was weird.
