The interviews on the preview that came with GREEN LANTERN: EMERALD KNIGHTS indicated that they were going as close to the source material as possible. This is either going to be really good or kind of jumbled. One of the things I love about YEAR ONE as a story is how Miller and Mazzuccheli played with time. The story literally took place over a year and there would be jumps in time that work fine in a comic book but may not work out so well in a film. This is one of the problems I had with ALL-STAR SUPERMAN. That series was a collection of done and one stories linked by the common sub-plot of Superman dying, which again worked fine for the comic but made the movie a bit haphazard when it came to pacing.
I'm still looking forward to it. The guy from BREAKING BAD (who also played the Dad on MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE and was on an episode of THE FLASH) is voicing Jim Gordon and frankly I could see him stepping into the live action role as well. Batman's voice bugs me. I am not one of these fans that wants Kevin Conroy for every single animated Batman film or appearance but this guy doesn't seem to have the gravitas to pull off Batman. I could be proven wrong on this, though.
