As I reported earlier, because stuff that uses HDMI connections like AppleTV &
U-Verse wouldn't work with my older LCD TV, we bought a new one.

It arrived today and I've been playing around with it. It's a Dynex (I figured,
everything mostly works these days, so why spend double on a bigger brand name?
Better to get as much screen size as possible for the same $$.)

It's 55", compared with my old Samsung, which was 40"-- as big of an LCD TV as
you could get at the time.

What a difference, though. Much more improvement than I ever expected. And it's
huge. Everything looks amazing on it. Way better than on the old TV. And
everything works.

LCDs have come way down, what with the rise of LEDs. This is a good time to get
a lot of TV for a lower price. This new one cost $1000 less than the retail
price of my old one. And worth every penny. Can't wait till football season!
