I always picture Wayne Enterprises to be like GE. Not very sexy but traditonally tends to do well on the balance sheets and has been around forever. Tony Stark has owned so many companies over the years that it is hard to keep track. Started out of Stark Industries, which became Stark International. Stark International was bought out by Stane and became Stane International. Tony started a new company called Stark Enterprises, which eventually became Stark-Fujikawa, and then bought up Stane International. He left Stark-Fujikawa and started Stark Solutions. Eventually he got controlling interest in Stark-Fujikawa and merged with with Stark Solutions and reincorporated Stark Industries. Stark Industries was bankrupted thanks to the fallout of the Secret Invasion, so it was folded and Stark started Stark Resilient, which just recently changed its name to Resilent when Stark became a silent partner. Thats not counting the start-up Circuits Maximus, which he started with Clytemnestra Erwin and Morley Erwin when he was recovering his his "drunk on the streets of New York" phase.
