That Venom example is horrible.  If you count that as "straight from the 
panel," then every origin for every superhero and villain in every 
superhero movie ever made is "straight from the panel."  

The scene in the film looks nothing like the panels in the comics, and the 
entire scene plays out differently, with the obnoxious, pipsqueek version 
of Eddie Brock praying for God to kill Peter.  LAME.  Barely even close to 
the comics origin, let alone "straight from the panel."
