I worked for Bing for two years, as many of you know, and everyone there was
calm and cool. And, you know, you're searching for how to commit suicide, you
don't want some preachy red box telling you not to. Google's a tongue-clucking
housewife!

The Ballmer yelling story comes from that youtube video of the disgruntled
employee post-firing and may not be true,

That said, Ballmer is a useless fool, and MS stock will jump when he resigns
whether they name a replacement or not.
Also, yes, their advertising is from the annoying Crash Bandicoot school of Ugh.

Though, because of the repetition, I dislike every ad on Hulu. You see the same
ad every three minutes, whatever it is, you dislike it... unless it's that
thing where the girl who does the Dougie eats the cheeseburger, and then you're
really angry!

Caw!

Beyond simple anecdotal experiences, I find I loathe Bing because of their
inane advertising (especially on Hulu). I can't get the mental impression of
Steve Ballmer screaming at his execs about how catchy the name will be: "BING!
SAY IT! BING!"
It's like the Raiders under Al Davis or the Cowboys under Jerry Jones; I hate
them because of their front office more than the entity itself.

Interesting find, Cary. One more reason that people don't use Bing, I guess.

Although I am somewhat heartened that more people are using Bing to figure out
How To Compost rather than How To Commit Suicide. At the same time, though,
evidently it's easier to consider commiting suicide than to try to figure out
how to complete the square or combine PDFs.
