I always thought that as a narrative, DePalma's film holds together a 
little better than King's novel, which by it's structure jumps back and 
forth between the story and after-the-fact interviews and news accounts.  
It's a good book but the movie is a favorite.  In fact it is one of the 
reasons why I never gave any grief to the quiet or unpopular girls in my 
high school, and was nice to them instead.  That's a shoot.
 
That having been said this trailer looks very good.  I'm not big on remakes 
but this one looks solidly made at least.  I like Julianne Moore's "There 
all going to laugh at you!" -- nice touch.
 
I am not sure where we see Carrie attacking the entire town -- the shots of 
her and the sports car are of scenes in the DePalma film, where she takes 
out Nancy Allen (!) and John Travolta (!!).
