It was stated that some would pick up a tablet if the costs were just lower, 
and it's finally a widespread reality. They may be off-label and not of the 
highest quality, but you can easily pick up a tablet for around $100-200. I'd 
imagine that the tablet market is on the verge of what the cell market went 
through- dominated by Apple at the outset, but Android devices will gain huge 
chunks of market share as it fills niches that Apple doesn't cater to. 
Microsoft's tablets are still a hot mess, and I don't see that changing in the 
immediate future; the full function OS versions are still as if not more 
expensive than a laptop, the RT versions are crippled in functionality, and you 
really need to purchase a keyboard to get the most out of it as they apparently 
don't function well in portrait mode, only landscape (16x9 isn't a good 
dimension for tablets).
