Inspired by the What Are You Reading? thread, here's one for what we're watching. After poking around on Netflix for genre shows, my wife and I started watching Merlin. We had caught about 2/3rds of the first season when NBC aired it, but we're into the second season now. Very character driven show, and like the show it emulates (Smallville), plays well with those characters given our foreknowledge of them. Effects are decent for BBC budget, and the show is consistantly entertaining and well put together each episode. The last one we watched last night (s2.e3) dealt with Arthur hiding his identity during a joust tournament and being taught a lesson in humility and service by Gweniviere, while an assassian was stalking him. Really enjoying this show.
