I’m done with Microsoft; I’ll never own another Windows computer. Windows 7 was solid, but I’ve strongly advised family to stay away from 8. Thankfully other than his consulting business all of their needs can be met with portable devices like tablets and smartphones. My mother was already an iPhone user so I got her an iPad Mini; she’ll never touch her laptop again. I’ve suggested the Kindle Fire and Google Nexus to coworkers that didn’t want to spend the money on an iOS device. For regular daily consumption of content tablets really do work better anyway.
