I loathe Gambit, but I'm in the minority.

Channing Tatum Is On Board For A Gambit Movie, Says 'X-Men' Producer

While promoting White House Down last year, Channing Tatum expressed interest
in playing X-Men's Gambit. Here's the full quote, transcribed by /film:

"I would like to play Gambit. Gambit's my favorite. I'm from New Orleans,
around that area. My dad's from New Orleans, and I like to do a Cajun accent. I
could do it for real. No knock on Taylor Kitsch, though, 'cause I actually like
his Gambit, but I've always lived around Cajun people. [...] Gambit was always
like the woman-loving, cigarette-smoking, drinking [guy]. He was the punk rock
of all the superheroes. He's a thief. He kind of rode the line."

Burnsy already made the case for why this needs to happen (holla atcha boy),
but this story just took a turn for the awesome. X-Men: Days Of Future Past
producer Lauren Shuler Donner tells Empire (via The Playlist) that she wants to
make a Channing Tatum led Gambit movie happen.

"I'm dying to do a Gambit movie with Channing Tatum," Shuler Donner reveals.
"That doesn't have to be a great big movie. It's a thief in New Orleans, it's a
whole different story. [Channing Tatum]'s on board, and I have to get the
studio on board. How can anyone resist Channing? He's such a sweetheart."

If our C-Tates tag is any indication, the answer to, "How can anyone resist
Channing?" is because they hate joy. Who could resist this face?

Apologies on the file size of that GIF, but we couldn't resist.
