While some of the author's arguments are a bit thin upon further
examination, I do thing there's something to the connotation the artist
brought to the cover and the comparison the Mary Sue article brought up
between Spider Woman's pose on the variant cover and the same pose used in
one of Manara's previous works.

I'm more bothered by the floating head, the vacu-sealed costume, and the
lizard-like/Voldemort nose treatment (that last bit being part of his usual
style, apparently?). But it's also what I've come to expect from MANY
comics artists, so overall the whole this is 'meh, more of the same' as far
as I'm concerned.
