Neil Gaiman's American Gods coming to US television in 2016?

Bryan Fuller has revealed that his TV adaptation of Neil Gaiman's American Gods
could air in 2016.

The Hannibal showrunner told Crave Online that he is hoping to start shooting
the long-gestation project in "mid-to-late 2015".

"Right now, we are breaking the third episode," he said. "It probably wouldn't
be on anybody's television until 2016 - but that's cruising along very nicely."

Fuller insisted that Gaiman is "absolutely integral" to the production process,
adding that he hopes to have the author write for American Gods on television.

Back in July, Fuller told Digital Spy that he is a long-time fan of Gaiman's
original 2001 novel.

"I read the book when it came out over a decade ago, and loved the playground
that Neil Gaiman created," said Fuller. "I think there's a fantastic
opportunity for great imaginative television there."
