Besides the Step Up and Bieber movies, Jon Chu also directed GI Joe: Retaliation, so I think he is the perfect director to tackle this project. Also, IDW's Jem And The Holograms comic has, two issues in, been a lot of fun, very "pop" and bright with the artwork and capturing a real modernized take on the story. Nerd Nitpick: The cartoon show and toyline was never entitled "Jem And The Holograms," merely "Jem."
