The newest Ultra series, Ultraman X, debuted this morning here in the West
on a Simulcast through Crunchyroll. This is the first tokusatsu show to be
simulcast with the West!

To say I am excited for this does not even begin to describe my feelings.
The Ultra Series has a spotty record with fansubbing outfits (unlike Kamen
Rider and Super Sentai which often have two or more groups subbing the same
shows), so getting the Simulcast circumvents that whole thing. And when
partnered with CR, the content providers get paid for the work, unlike a
fansub.

Right now the question is whether the shows will become available for all
to watch after a week, which is typically how CR does their Simulcasts (as
I understand it). I do not have a Premium Membership to CR, but for $7 a
month I can swallow that pill for the amount of Ultra they currently host:
X, the Showa series Leo and 80, and the Heisei series Max and Mebius.
