Self reply but I wanted to add -- the key visual aspect for the actress 
playing Madame Masque is going to be her eyes. With her face covered by the 
mask, it is the cold hatred in her eyes which is the only "window to the 
soul" we get for her. 

Raven-black hair can be done with styling and wigs -- but the eyes are 
crucial.
