One wonders if this will put to rest the long-circulated "Fan-Think Fact" that Johansson was paid substantially less than her male costars... but when have indignant fanboys and fangirls ever let facts convince them against their deeply held convictions? There was a story a couple of weeks back about how, in an interview, Jeremy Renner was asked if he would help his female costars negotiate for a higher salary, and Renner's response was “That’s not my job. I don’t know contracts and money and all that sort of stuff.” Which sounds like a factual, honest answer; he is an actor not an agent, yes? This resulted in Renner being put into the crosshairs of several groups online about how anti-feminist he was, because clearly it was not the "right" answer to those folks.
