I have to say that I feel for the guy, the Ancient One exists at a
crossroads of a lot of potentially hazardous areas. But unfortunately you
still need the character for the origin story.

I do have to wonder if the depiction of Ho Yinsen from Iron Man would have
received this level of scrutiny nowadays? The character of Yinsen was
implied but never stated to be Vietnamese in the original version of
Shellhead's origin, but later he was said to be from a fictional Asian
country, and then later still suggested to be Afghani. Shaun Toub, who
played Professor Yinsen in Iron Man and Iron Man 3, is Iranian. I,
frankly, don't know what to make of any of that, except that I think Toub
does a great job as Yinsen, and his performance opposite RDJ adds a lot to
the cave scenes in the movie. (His turn in IM3 is little more than a
cameo.)
