I installed it in October. However I managed to get it working. Only needed to remove the plugin and regit the thinking sphinx. Apparently ruby script/install does not really work. Btw for sphinx when we want to install a new version we just do it as if we were installing it normally? There is no need to uninstall the old sphinx?
