Hi Lance Unfortunately, Sphinx itself only talks directly to databases or XML files - and Thinking Sphinx doesn't yet support the latter (although I'd like it to at some point). So, unless you want to store the file information in the database instead - *and* it's a plain text format - then I'm afraid Sphinx isn't the solution for you. I know you can handle files somehow with Ferret, and I'd expect the same of Solr. No idea about Xapian or others, though.
