Me too. I'm currently just using query string params (/titles?under_ten=1&on_special=1) to implement my facets, but after seeing the teenormous approach I'm considering something similar. I'm hesitant to make any call on the SEO question, but as a general principle I don't think it hurts to have important keywords in your the path section of your URLs.
