Changing the recipes/thinking_sphinx.rb does not affect anything. I
noticed though that the file wasn't getting called at all. This led me
to the real fix.
This was an older project and my Capfile was out of date. It was
missing the following line:
Dir['vendor/plugins/*/recipes/*.rb'].each { |plugin| load(plugin) }
Adding that line into my Capfile fixed the issue.
