Yeah, it got us looking at the contents of the delayed jobs and also the contents of the index (for the sphinx_deleted attribute), it was only then that we noticed the inconsistent document_id's ;) We had been struggling with this one all weekend and your email steered us away from looking into env issues (such a class caching) which was great.
