Hello, I'm using delta indexing and have hit an interesting issue and I'm wondering if there is any way to avoid it.
I have quite a few fields defined in my model's define_index block that are not direct attributes, but are derived from assocaitions (e.g. indexes relations.section_id)... The problem is, that when I update only one field of the model (e.g. set publish = true), delta index updates and goes through whole define_index block and loads all mentioned associations. The same behaviour with delayed or default delta indexing. Is this normal and unavoidable behaviour? I expected that sphinx will load the necessary fields through DB and for all records that have delta=true. So there would be no need to load all the associations mentioned in the define_index block...
