I have 2 tables Listings and Categories in which the Category has_many Listings. However, the Listings are linked to Categories via a SIC_CODE (an integer field) and not the Categories' Rails specific primary key ID. This SIC_CODE is defined as a primary key in the relationship block. Categories still maintains its Rails specific primary key of ID. How do I tell Sphinx to do a LEFT OUTER JOIN on Categories using SIC_CODE and not ID without specifying SIC_CODE as the primary key for the whole Category model?
