I do a full reindex on our site nightly. imho, how often you need to do it depends on the usage patterns of your site. The main reason to do a full reindex is when when rebuilding your delta index takes too long. In our case we're using delayed job deltas, so we're happy for each delta index to take up to a second or two. That seems to equate to a couple of thousand records in the delta index, which equates to about 24 hours usage. If you have more updates than us, or if you're using the default delta approach ( and therefore probably want to keep your delta indexing time really short ) you should re-index more regularly. -- James Healy <[email protected]> Wed, 20 Jan 2010 17:59:15 +1100
