Hey Pat (and everyone), I was thinking -- would it possible to have most of the rake tasks skip loading the environment? It's my guess that loading the environment is really only a prerequisite for building the config file. But for re-indexing and starting & stopping the search daemon, I think it should be possible to do without loading the entire environment. Right?
Maybe I'll submit a patch if I can figure out how to do it. -Steve
