Yes, it's a flag that indicates which records belong in the delta index.

Every time you run the ts:rebuild or ts:index tasks, every delta value
is set to false, as all records are in the core index and none belong in
the delta index. As records are modified and should be added to the
delta index, the flag is changed to true.
