Good news :) There are indeed more than 1000 tags. Increasing the max_matches setting fixed the problem. Thanks!
I wonder if there's another way of getting the top n tags from the index, however. Increasing the max_matches value probably doesn't scale well in my case. Do you know if this can be done (e.g. by specifying how the facets should be ordered or something like that)?
