Hi there, I've got sphinx and thinking_sphinx running on my local. However I've got a 2 machine production setup. One DB and one apps server running rails apps.
When you run rake ts:config it generates a config file for searchd which is used when running ts:start. When the database, and most likely searchd, are running on a separate server, I'm guessing this config file has to make it off the apps server and onto the machine where searchd will be running? And then does indexer run periodically on the apps or web server? Is there an article or a post describing best practice for this?
