I guess the question you need to answer is: a percentage of what? Compared to the highest scoring result, perhaps? Even then, what happens if you're paginating search results? You'll need to hold onto that top result somehow (or make two queries for every page of results, for that page, and the first page). If you want to do it manually, I guess a helper method that converts the weight/relevance score to a percentage of the top result is certainly possible.
