I'm not entirely sure what you're after, but perhaps this will do the job: search = ThinkingSphinx::Search.search 'foo' search.meta #=> returns a hash, keywords have the keys keyword[0], keyword[1], etc, and there's also hits[0], docs[0], and so on.
