Hi Andrew

Not entirely sure that it's related to Spork. It's worth noting in your example 
that you're not creating the model until you fill out the search form - so, 
that data isn't indexed. Also - you should use the SphinxHelpers index method 
in your spec instead of calling ThinkingSphinx::Test.index directly, so the 
timeout is used as well (so Sphinx has enough time to be aware of new changes).

The first thing I'd be doing is getting it to pass with Spork setup commented 
out, and then see if it works with Spork loaded as well.
