We also noticed this error when using strace on the generate rake task. It 
seems odd that it's trying to connect to the right port for TS, but not 
using the address from the config file and rather using 127.0.0.1. I 
inspected "ThinkingSphinx::Configuration.instance" from the console and 
verified that it is picking up the correct IP address for our job server. 
So it seemed odd that it wasn't using that IP address to connect.
