In an index for TvShow, it'd probably look like this: indexes segments.personSegments.person.gender, :as => :gender
For an index on Segment, it's a bit simpler: indexes personSegments.person.gender, :as => :gender Essentially, follow the association chains to get to the person model, and then you want the gender column from that model. Also: ensure the field is given the name gender in each index. -- Pat On 9 Apr 2014, at 12:17 am, mamesaye kane <[email protected]> wrote: > > Thanks for the prompt reply. > > How would i go through associations? how to do that? > > > > -- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups > "Thinking Sphinx" group. > To unsubscribe from this group and stop receiving emails from it, send an > email to [email protected]. > To post to this group, send email to [email protected]. > Visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/thinking-sphinx. > For more options, visit https://groups.google.com/d/optout. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Thinking Sphinx" group.
