Hi. I'm having 3 issues with my T61p that came with Windows Vista Ultimate as the preload (UGH!). These problems started occurring in the past month. I'm posting them as separate issues so that replies can address the issues separately, but noting the 3 concurrent issues just in case there the issues are somehow related. Any help or suggestions are most welcome.
I'll be working away and for no reason, I see the hard drive I/O light display almost solid on then the screen goes black and then my T61p just goes to sleep. This happens both on battery and with the machine plugged in (and the battery charged to 100%). When I repower it back up it the screen will often black out again and it goes right back to sleep. Sometimes I have to do this 4 or 5 times to finally get it back up and running again for a bit. Sometimes it never really wants to come back and I have to completely power down and then it will come back. It seems to happen more when I'm viewing or listening to multimedia files (DVDs, iTunes, etc.). I've run CHKDSK with no errors. It's maddening. Do I have to reinstall Vista? Could it be a driver issue? Thanks.
