To add to this,  my W500 seems pretty well built, and so far things are going
fine.  I'm happy with this model.  It's amazing, the number of people I know,
who got  a laptop around the time I did (Thanksgiving) who have had to send
their Dell/HP/Mac/? laptops in for repairs already.

This doesn't mean that Lenovo can't or hasn't yet released a turkey, but I
don't think they have so far.

As I think of it I'm having a hard time remembering what X series I've gotten
lately, because they go into people's hands, and I don't see them 'till some
rotten Windows problem develops...
