Something is going on with Lenovo's sales and order fulfillment. I had helped  
friend of mine configure and then order a T400 from them (non-outlet) and got 
the run-around for a period of 5 weeks.  In the end, Lenovo dropped the ball 
and couldn't find a way to take her money.

This is the first time I have encountered any kind of trouble from Lenovo when 
trying to get them to take money from anyone.
