Hello,

I've been using a T43p with a 1600x1200 Flexview 15" screen
for the past 4 years. The machine has been good but is beginning
to show that it is 4 (I just replaced the CPU fan and keyboard)
and it can't use more than 2 GB of RAM. However, I do like the
Flexview screen and I can't seem to find any new notebook with
an IPS screen.

Does anyone know if IBM/Lenovo built a T series with a Flexview
and a Core 2 Duo. I'd like to be able to run a 64-bit OS (both
Solaris and Windows) to use 4 GB of RAM so I think that requires
a Core 2. I also think I prefer a 4:3 aspect vs Widescreen as
the 15.4" widescreen machines are wider than my T43p.

I can find that T60p machines had Flexview but only Core Duo
by looking through the ltwbook.pdf (withdrawn machines). I
don't find any Flexview T61p or similar but maybe I'm overlooking
them?

Or what would you recommend for a 64-bit capable machine with
a high-res, wide angle anti-glare display? I'd prefer a Nvidia
video chipset (Quadro FX mobile) if possible as Solaris x86 has
full support for that and ATI doesn't provide full support
for the FireGL for Solaris x86. I see that the W700 has Nvidia,
Core 2 Duo or Quad and a LED backlit (but not IPS) screen but
it is HUGE.

Thanks,

Stuart
