Ignore task manager for a week, and see how well the system runs
otherwise... piling on all the normal work. We see huge numbers of such
reports on our rental units with no real negative results. We find good
operation has little to do with what the task manager reports, but what the
users are happily doing.

My guess is that hardly anybody on this forum takes a look at their task
manager reports, and they love their Thinkpads anyway.

Of course, you may be using a 600X or a T23... but they are just naturally
slower, task manager or no...

We would be interested in what you learn... by making notes of performance
hitches as you work through your days... then make similar notes using the
task manager reports.

What we are suggesting is your computer is running normally. The adjustments
you can make to reduce the number of processes, or tasks, are just more
bother than they are helpful...
