Hello list!

I'm using the linux console (Fedora 10) on a TP X61S. If I use
'aciptool -S', I hear a short litle sound from the speaker during
halting. After rebooting, the sound is much louider than before I used
the command. I can solve this by using 'amixer set Master 70%'. I then
hear the same sound from the speaker, and the sound has the normal
volume level afterwards.

- What could be the reason for this strange behaviour?

- Is there a better method to suspend the machine from the console,
that doesn't have this side effect?

Thanks

Lars
